If big states like Canada, Russia and The U.S.A will regulate time of limit for users of internet, people will find new hobbies and interests in new life. Face-to-face communication will be popular.
toolpot462

Con

If the government should regulate how much we use the internet, why shouldn't they regulate how much we eat, sleep and exercise while they're at it? We don't do this because everyone values personal liberties. It is not the place of the government to regulate hobbies and interests for the purpose of increasing face-to-face socialization.

Then people will spend a lot of time ouside their homes. in our time, people forget about the real world. if states put a limit on time, every user will know that it has limitations, so he will plan your day. agree that many people live, work, communicate only online.

Con

Sure, I'll admit that; that's their prerogative. People do plan their own days, and some people include a lot of online time in their plans. It's not the government's job to plan people's days, or even to get people to plan their days according to an ideal. What would be the limit on internet time that would be placed? Five hours? What would it be based on? How would it be monitored? What if someone was using the internet on someone else's network? Would there be a new law against internet time theft? Regulating internet time for each individual would be a waste of resources.

We should have the right to do certain things that are bad for us. Excessive internet use is just one thing among excessive eating, smoking, drinking, sleeping, watching TV, basically being sedentary, and more.

Thanks for the debate.

Reasons for voting decision: Pretty crazy debate. Pro should not ff and definitely justify their points. In terms of strategy, a better approach from con might have attacked pro's case from more than one angle.
