Students don't need to make notebooks the teachers can easily give print outs of the notes ,question & answers etc atleast for seniors if student can practice the work by doing the work in their notebook it's ok but what if they don't want to do the work? what if it becomes very tuff for them to complete their work on time or they feel it a burden more than a help? Some students even miss their attendence due to their pending work. If a student needs 5 pages to complete a work , In only 2 pages the work can be photostated it even saves the number of pages, So, if students do not make notebooks they can save a number of pages, plenty of time and hardwork.
If the students get the print outs easily by doing no hard work, it would be taken for granted by them. They would start paying less attention in the classes as they get the notes afterwards. As we all know, HARD WORK IS A KEY TO SUCCESS. When a student would make the notes himself, it would be easier for him to remember and learn it. He will definitely study the notes more carefully when it is completed by his own hands and will definitely feel that it is of great help. Notebooks are kept safely for a long time than printouts too. This would create a self-satisfaction among students to do the work themselves afterwards.
It is true what my oppenent said that "Hardwork is the key success' students can copy the printouts if they want in their notebooks but they should not be forced to do so as it can become burden on them. They can also copy the main points instead of copying the whole thing and for making the notes on their own there can be some mistakes while making own notes there what if the student makes his notes on his own and it went wrong the teacher would ofcource taunt him. So, instead if the teacher asks each and every student their opinion in the class itself and then collect the opinions of each and every student and make notes without any errors and give an each photocopy of it to the student so this way the student will not need to copy the whole and can also practise it in the class itself. So, without copying the whole thing in their notebooks they can easily understand and learn it an done more thing as my oppenent had said in the previous argument that notebooks are kept safely for a longer time than printouts the students can also keep the printouts neatly in a file. So, it is not neccessary that notebooks can be kept safely for longer time than printouts.
I would strongly like to oppose you as we never do generate our own thoughts and ideas while making notes. While making notes, a student refers a book or two. If he still is confused, he can search it on web. This would not only help him create his own notes but it would enhance his knowledge (which is more important). We refer to facts and figures and not our own thoughts while making notes. The teachers will not always spoon-feed the children by giving notes because this won't probably help them in the future when they will have to make presentations and all. Copying the main points only won't help one to pass through examinations. One ought to have a wide knowledge about a certain topic which one would only get when he has worked upon it. Maybe, it would not satisfy the teachers as they expect more, but it will help one in getting extra knowledge. What is about collecting the opinions? If a student has to become a different one, he ought to collect some extra information and make his notes on his own. Being a student, I, myself find the notes given by teachers of great help and try to make notes by my own too as teachers give same notes to everyone but a student would become a bright one only if he works hard and harder.
