I accept.

To clarify the confusion, I will be taking the Pro stance in this debate, meaning I will by arguing for the fact that the voting age should be lowered. Also, since my opponent has not named any rules, I believe it is my duty to do so. Proper grammar and spelling should be required, the BoP is shared, there will be no use of vulgarity or profanity, and conceding and/or forfeiting will result in a 7 point drop.

Now I summarize some of my arguments into the following points, though I will keep it brief so my opponent has a chance to recover themselves and state their arguments. Most of my information I will save for rebuttals.

A.) The current voting age we have set in place, 18 years of age, is in fact a bad time to begin allowing kids to vote. It is at this time that young lives are thrown into turmoil whether that be moving out, going to college, joining armed forces, etc...

B.) The younger that we expose teenagers to voting, voting rights, and politics, the more knowledgable and interested they will be on the subject.

C.) At 16, most teenagers already have an unrestricted drivers license, a job, pay taxes, and can be charged as adults for crimes. This said, they are active citizens in our society and deserve the privilege to vote.

I wish the best of luck to my opponent in this debate, over to Con.

Instigator, you are against lowering the voting age, but your first round contradicts that claim (as advanced001 said). Which side are you defending?

Why do you assume that? Did I hint to it? I'm asking about your confusing euphemism you've failed to explain to me.

So you're against the voting age to be to 16 correct?
