Then something's wrong. I believe Lars recorded this one, it may have been someone else. Regardless, I can't recover it on my account.

Is there any proper link? It says the video isn't available in both links.

Yeah, I screwed up when I posted it. The proper link is on the first page of the comments.

I don't like to convince judges to vote in any way, since I don't think I'd be an impartial authority on how the debate went. But you actually have to make a causal link here between "steroid use gives the same benefits as working out alone" and "allowing steroid use isn't unfair" (in the debate I would probably have used the argument that access to steroids is not fairly distributed whereas access to workouts is, aka my "third world" argument). Notwithstanding that one final little statement thanks for a well-considered vote. I'm sure everything else you said would be enough to justify your decision even if that final little comment wasn't relevant.

@Larztheloser, I tried my best to be fair in analyzing the debate. that statement wasn't a significant factor in my decision. People have convinced me my vote was unfair before and I've withdrawn or changed it.

The statement you made literally means, you're saying steroid use gives the same benefits as working out alone. That's really you making a statement against one of your own premises. your opponent isn't going to rebut a point you made against yourself. even without that point, I felt the fairness arguments on both sides were weak. So that area played almost no factor in my vote.

Reasons for voting decision: What Mikal said. Either way I thought this was a great debate and believe both of the debaters deserve a round of applause as they both put forth great effort in this debate. Great job Pro and Con! I wish I could speak like they both do.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro--you shouldn't have admitted that the status quo was about training--there are legal vitamins, etc, that are extremely expensive and legal, so some legal drug usage is in the status quo. That would have shown the cheating disads to be inherent. Con shows that health harms come with steroids as much as training, so training would be preferable. Con wins that training is not necessarily causing the health harms. Pro's should have had more statistics. Excellent probing questions, Con. wins national pride, drug usage model, fairness. Pro--nice job on allowing everyone to access sports. Pro also wins that more reporting would occur; however, this is really only helpful if Pro specified which performance drugs would be legalized--otherwise, reporting is pointless. Pro, excellent point about one person doing it makes everyone try to keep up. Con--you could have said that intensive training might be discouraged too. Con--your argument was ableist in 34:04. Con-"use of both" was smart.
