I would like to say that Tibet is, and always will be part of China, there are many evidences that Tibet was part since the Yuan's dynasty.

Good luck!

I will be supporting the the position that Tibet has the right to self-determination.

I will be defining self-determination as: The right to freely determine, without external interference, their political status and to pursue their economic, social and cultural development." (1970 Declaration on Principles of International Law Concerning Friendly Relations and Co-operation among States).

As Con did not add extensive arguments in the first round, I will not in order to be fair.

I look forward to a civil and intellectual debate! Good luck!
Debate Round No. 1

I would like to thank Pro for accepting this challenge and wish him luck again.

Some people say that China is a single Ethnic nation, in fact 56 ethnic groups make up China, including Han,Mongols,Koreans,Muslim,Tibetan etc.

Tibet may have a different culture and language, but China is just Multicultural as Canada, US and Brazil.

Tibet have been apart of China since many years.

Yuan's dynasty (1271 AD - 1368 AD):

Ming's dynasty (1368 AD - 1644 AD):

Qing dynasty (1644 AD - 1911 AD ):

Republic of China (1911 AD - 1949 AD):

People's Republic of China (1949 AD - Present):

It has been part of China way before USA/Canada/Aus/New Zealand/Brazil/Argentina/Mexico existed or even colonized.

When China regained Tibet from Britain in 1950 AD, it was still an slavery society under Dalai Lama's puppet regime

You think Dalai Lama would be happy now that he lost all his privileges during the slavery period?

"Free" Tibet kind of ironic

Dalai Lama was and still is, funded by the CIA to separate Tibet from China.

In the 1950s, CIA and Britain forces the Indian government to accept Dalai Lama in India and been funding his campaign since.

The Chinese government spends 200 millions ( 40 millions US ) a year to develop Tibet, building schools, hospitals, infrastructures...

Tibet is not the only region or state that wants independence.

Britain: Scotland is not part Britain! North Ireland is Ireland!

United Sates: Texas and California are not part of the US!

Canada: Quebec is not Canada!

Japan: Hokkaido and Okinwa are not part of Japan!

Spain: Catalonia is not Spain!
