The Bible and The Q'ran include ideas very closely related to a primitive male mind.
Beyond the veil of peace, love, and equality are heavy roots in war, revenge, and sexism.

These are 'religions of peace' but their pasts are violent and horrific.
Should people be allowed to practice and live by the codes of these religions or should these religions be taught as ideologies to stay away from?

I will be in defense of christianity because i personally believe the evidence give more historical weight to the Old and New Testament more than Quran.

The OT/NT's are recorded history by 40 different people of nations, kingdoms, places, dates, events, genealogies, kings and queens. The wars, sexism, abuse and immorality found in the bible is what was recorded as history, now the authors could have made up a story where the world was an "utopian" society but thats not reality. The concepts contained in the bible are of grace, love, kindness and mercy whether it be in the OT/NT.

These ideologies have brought forth some of the greatest advances in society. MLK jr. was a christian who thought the God given value of man is equal to all men. Charities like the salvation army and Habitat for Humanity hold to the biblical concept of kindness and love for others. YMCA was started with the idea of helping those who are in need.

The scriptures are not 'tainted' nor are the ideas corrupt.

The books that belong to the respective religions are morally toxic ideas and intellectual absurdities.

Should people be allowed to practice and live by the codes of these religions?
(if they were, we would have many more murders that the law would be unable to touch)

Should these religions be taught as ideologies promoting negative social traits? probably

Peace" is not a sweet little bird chirping in a tree on a Sunday morning. "Peace" is a hurricane of pain happening all around, no sign of anything staying still, and that same bird is still chirping. I'll explain in Christianity's perspective here, if that's what you're referring to. This religion is never described as "a religion of peace". If it is, it's not intended to be described like that. In the Bible, Jesus never taught non-violence, but He never acted violently. If someone were to punch Jesus in the face, no matter the time period, He would turn the other cheek. Religions create war not because of WHY it's being fought, but WHO'S fighting it. Humans. Humans tend to have selfish nature, so when someone else comes up and says "my religious ideals are right, and yours are wrong", it ignites a spark. See, as humans, we usually hate being proved wrong, because being right gives us such a satisfactory felling. That's the main reason why religious wars have happened over the centuries.

Your last statement makes no sense. "Should people be allowed to practice and live by the codes of these religions or should these religions be taught as ideologies to stay away from?" If, in America for example, people are no longer to allowed to believe in whatever they please, that breaks the first amendment. The freedom to choose to believe in whatever you want is something we take for granted all the time. And, it should NOT be taught that you should stay away from certain religions, because that would also be wrong. Hopefully you found my explanation helpful.
