'Matha Pitha Guru Deivam' is a famous saying in Sanskrit which means 'Mother Father Teacher God'. This saying really portraits quality of a teacher. Here teacher is a person who is kept before god and he should be respected as like as a god. Still in India there are government schools where we can see teachers who are altruistic and dedicate them only for the students and there are teachers who works only for salary. How can teachers from the two category is treated equally and given with same salary? Real achievement for a teacher comes when his student achieves. A teacher who is assiduous will some how make his students achieve and try to improve his student's performance. So there should be a person who should note the achievements, academic performance of his students and should award the teachers with the ' PROPORTIONAL SALARY'

Incentives cause teachers to cheat.[1][2][3]

"...analysis, coupled with interviews of educators from flagged schools, led investigators to implicate some 178 educators in 44 of the 56 schools examined"[3]

To avoid problems like this a board of members should be appointed they should be maverick from government. They should be controlled directly by an Educational Head. This board of members can have frequent visit to any schools and can inspect the students any time and can review the students and compare them with the tests they have written. This Board can even blame the Educational system if there any riddle and can give astringent punishment if any malpractices happen.

Teachers' salaries should be based on their students' academic performance because Teachers' whose service is interminable should be noted and should be lauded with more salary this is an appreciation given to them for sacrificing themselves for their students. This can even encourage other teachers to work hard.

There are many schools where a teacher with more years of experience is paid more because of his service as teacher. Then why not a person with less experience but dedicated in teaching and working really hard for his students and making them to improve in their performance should also paid higher?

Con

There are various reasons for pay-raises due to seniority. It's a system that requires little maintenance, tracking, or otherwise creating overhead.

Pay for performance is asking for people to fake their performance. Especially in the world of education, where the performance is based on the students.

Sales is a place where commission based pay works well.

Teaching is not such a situation.

And if a teacher's students have lower IQs? What if the students have little or no achievement motivation or drive? Teachers can't control students, they can only try to teach them. Paying them based on elements that are, for the most part, out of their control, is ridiculous.

Reasons for voting decision: Con had sources and a quick and simple argument that, in the end of things, worked well.

Reasons for voting decision: I recognize that English is not Pro's first language, so I don't want to penalize for spelling/grammar. While he provides a possible solution to cheating, he provides no source to back up how well it performs in practice (whether there is enough funding for such a board, for example, and how this could be done regularly at EVERY school).

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct goes to Pro because Con used the straw man logical fallacy in Round 2; conduct was overall good on both sides. Spelling goes to Con because Pro used all-caps on a few words in Round 1, but both deserve to be commended for excellent spelling. Arguments go to Pro because his second argument went uncontested. Sources go to Con as he is the only one to use sources. Overall, a decent debate.
