Teens should not be dating, even though I'm a teen boy my self. Most of us act like dating is just for fun (from what I've read) but is dating really improving our selves? Anxiety, Apathy, Aids or Hiv, Depression, Stds, consequences are given. Permanent effects like...mental/emotional health may occur but why should we care about dating at a very young age (12-18)? Please be a con. I'm 12 and go hard on me because i wonder what it feels like to debate

It all depends on maturity, there are many people out there believe it or not that take relationships seriously. I know of a friend who dated her boyfriend for two years and she was 14 when she started. Teens should date they should be able to find who they are looking for, dating gives people more confidence and something to look forward tp.

Thanks for debating.

Yeah it depends, but if teens date, they will get distracted in school, their grades will fall and probably have pre-maridial sex.The usa has -im guessing cause im on my phone- over one thousand teenager pregnant teens a year. Teens won't look towards something because they lack self discipline or have not used common sence. Most teens don't know the right
person because they might end up with some jerk.

Reasons for voting decision: Erm... well... Conduct was equal between both times because both forfeited at least one round. S/G goes to Con: Pro's speeches were generally riddled with more inaccuracies than Con's. Arguments were equal because neither side particularly responded to the other leaving all arguments standing. I'm giving Con the sources point even though neither side used sources because Pro cited a statistic which Pro actually admitted he was plucking out of thin air ("im guessing because im on my phone" [sic]).
