Texting destroys the way people interact with the real world. Words in texts do not have the same impact on words in real life. People who text too much have trouble controlling their words and the effect they have. Texting destroys human interactions and social skills.

Pro

Texting, when performed in moderation, is an adequate and useful method of communication. Texting provides the opportunity for easy communication on-the-go, for situations when a phone would be overkill or when face-to-face contact is impossible. Although face-to-face interaction is a meaningful and important aspect of any person's life, it simply isn't possible to always communicate that way, especially when separated by distance. Texting allows people to stay in touch when they can't meet in person, and there is nothing wrong than that.

Con

I agree with you that texting is ok when it is long distance. But obsessive texting with people you see every day can wait. Some things are urgent and we need to text, and this is understandable because now we have a way of instant communication so why not use it? It is ok to text but we must interact with people as much as we can and only resort to texting when we need it.

You didn't seem to agree with me in round 1, where you make no such exceptions.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro made a good case and Con dropped the initial argument he had made, as such Pro easily wins by a type of concession by Con. Due to Cons forfeit Pro gets conduct points. No sources, so no points. Grammar and spelling seemed like texting so points are shared.
