Con

AS evolution is a luck based thing it would be impossible for God to create us while evoultion takes place as we evolved from other animals.
RiskTaker

Pro

God rigged the odds so that eventually humans would come.

God's the don of the casino,
The devil being Al Pacino,
Yeah this poem is legit, so now let's play some hardcore screamo.

Con

A God that can 'rig' the odds would have to be clairvoyant because how could he know how to get the results intended.
RiskTaker

Pro

Well yeah, he's omniscient.

Con

Why did God not make us 'perfect' then? Surely if God was to create a race in his image he would make it perfect.
RiskTaker

Pro

RiskTaker forfeited this round.

Yes Con, Pro if right, God is supposedly Omniscient or all Knowing and knows the future, which means everything we do is predestined and thus, in that case, we cannot really have "Free Will".

This is a big problem for Christianity, because they want to believe that Christians have Free Will, but they cannot possibly have this if their Will (future) is already known by God.

It is this kind is Stupid Irrationality that turned me away from Christianity in the first place.

BTW: Humans are not Perfect, we have more Genetic flaws than even our Ape cousins.
The seed that created humans likely had a reduction in gene methylation and thus allowed greater genetic expression, but this increased genetic expression which allows mutations more readily, also allows such things as Cancers, so humans have a greater risk of cancers than our Ape relatives.

We have more deformities and more cancers, we are far from perfect.
