The Bible is full of stories about good and evil. But what do we really know about it? Good and Evil are the two sides of the same coin. The LAW of Moses says and I quote-

"Thou shalt not kill."

But the Angels are guilty of killing. And more than this, the Angels are guilty of killing innocent life.

This debate is about justification for killing innocent life. Shall the Angels of Heaven be justified for killing innocent life. If the Angels of Heaven are to be justified then here is Con's chance to show us how. As always my first choice resource in any debate is the Bible. But Con is welcome to use any means, and Good Luck Con.

I think you got the wrong idea about the law of Moses. The law of Moses was not intended to the angels. it is intended to humans. therefore, angels are not bound to the law of Moses. God probably gave angels another law to follow.
Debate Round No. 1

Con brings up a very important argument in Number One. It is age old, timeless and persistent. Con's first argument must be taken seriously because of the history behind it. Con's argument is a simple one. Here is the set up-

The Angel of the LORD is evil
Jehovah of the Old Testament is in fact duplicitous

And Con says that Jehovah of the OT is duplicitous because He has a double standard. Here are the two standards-
1 It is against the law for some to take innocent life
2 It is not against the law for some others to take innocent life

It all depends on the ranking of the individual, (plus maybe some other stipulations).

Here is a side argument: God is a game warden who sells licenses to hunt human beings in season. The rules are simple:

1 The human(s) must be in season
2 The licenses are transferable

Therefore the Archangel can buy a license to personally hunt down and kill innocent humans like animals. Or Michael the Archangel can transfer title of the license to another person or persons in the event that Michael the Archangel is too busy to hunt down humans like animals. The temptation being that the person or persons who take title of the license from Michael the Archangel may get drunk on the blood of the innocent and over step the quota. In this even Michael the Archangel is granted another license to take the blood of the perpetrator.

Now, it's clear to you that the Law of Moses is not intended to the angels. However, it doesn't mean that angels don't have their own law to follow. basically, we don't have any record about this so it's hard to argue about the matter. But yet, the bible tells us about angels and their jobs in human world. Like Gabriel, everyone knows him as messenger of God. the angel of death is either Samael or Michael. Samael was not actually mention in Jerusalem Bible[the bible that I read since then]. if Jerusalem bible does mention Samael, kindly tell me the verses.

Let's go to the point. Humans know that they are going die someday. that's basically part of nature and a fundamental truth. So basically humans are aware death but they don't know when or where. And God indeed manifested this truth. However, this is not killing because we humans know about this truth. Humans are aware about the law of nature. But then, some humans break the law of nature. This is done through homicide and suicide[murder].

If God is really evil, then HE would bring human soul to nothingness. But because of His love to Humans, He let us dwell in his home. Leaving with the Creator, humans has nothing to look for because that's the ultimate happiness.

With all due respect Con might be missing the importance of the double standard when it is taken from the abstract into the reality that we must live in. For instance-

The term "angel" has been expanded to include the definition: Messenger of God

With this definition in place if we allow the angels to be free from the LAW then it is easy for an entity such as the Roman Catholic Church to justify the actions of the California Roman Priests when they did what they did to the young people. The Roman Priests as messengers of God are above the law of California.

With the above in mind what is the defense to "Messengers of God Gone Wild"?

If the Angels are not bound by the law then the common people are not bound by the common law to respect the rights of the Angels. In other words the law of the fang and club is enforce-

An eye for an eye. And a tooth for a tooth. Nothing in the LAW is there to protect the angels from us.

Don't you get it. Angels are not Humans. Right? If you answer Yes, then we are on the same boat. If No then, i define Angel for you. Angel is a supernatural being or spirit found in various religions and mythologies. In Zoroastrianism and Abrahamic religions they are often depicted as benevolent celestial beings who act as intermediaries between Heaven and Earth, or as guardian spirits or a guiding influence.[1] Other roles of angels include protecting and guiding human beings, and carrying out God's tasks.[2] The term "angel" has also been expanded to various notions of spirits found in many other religious traditions. []

Basically, Angels are not bound to the law of nature because they are not part of nature. So, angels are incapable of killing humans. Unless Angels become humans, then they are bound to the Laws of Nature and Moses.

I hope you understand that God and the angels who follow God's will are not evil.

Don't you get it? The concept of 'Angels' is a shell game. In ancient times when a catastrophe struck the ancient Greeks thought it was the anger of the gods. And the ancient Israelites thought that when catastrophe struck it was the wrath of the Angel of the LORD. So Con-

When New Orleans was hit by the latest hurricane who was angry?
1) The Greek gods
2) The Angel of the LORD

Well? It was neither. The Greek gods are not real. And the Angel of the LORD is not real. These are gimmicks to explain what seemed to the ancient mind to be unexplainable. So here is the explanation-

The Greek gods and the Angel of the LORD are part of mankind. They are part of our memory now. But in ancient times they were part of our imagination. Either way they are part of mankind. If you will examine closely the history of education you will see that Christian higher education focused on ancient Greek philosophy/religion and ancient Israeli philosophy/religion. Christianity came to modern man just as much through ancient Greece as it did through ancient Israel.

The Old Testament is mythology just as much as the Greek. It is all mythology that explains the way the ancient human mind worked. In ancient Greece it came out one way. In ancient Israel it came out another. Both branches of ancient mythology has been repudiated.

God does not send the Angel of the LORD into battle. And the Greek gods don't get angry. It is because the Angel of the LORD never was and never will be. And the Greek gods never were and never will be.

So there can be only one purpose for the concept of 'Angel of the LORD'. It is to get us to accept a double standard. The double standard is-

Some people are above the LAW. While other people are not above the LAW. This is the most important concept in all of history.

God never applied double standard on his creation. Murder is absolutely immoral. Like I state angels are not capable of killing because of there are not humans. Only humans are capable of committing murder to fellow humans. However, God did punish some people for those who disobeyed Him or to those who don't follow His Laws and it is the same thing how we human punish our violators. It is also for the Better good of mankind.

Luke 12:4 "And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do."

Luke 12:5 "But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him."

Matthew 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Matthew 5:21 "" Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:"

Matthew 5:22 "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

John 7:22 "Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man."

John 7:23 "If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?"

John 7:24 "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment."

Con is totally wrong to think that Elohim has a double standard. The word used for,"thou shalt not "kill", is more like "murder". In hebrew it is ratsakh. But the word used for the "Angel of Yahuwah" is nakah in Hebrew. nakah just means to smite, and you have to specify "smite to death" for it to mean to take a life; which the "angel of Yahuwah did." but it is not murder (ratsakh) as the Torah (Law) commands not to.

The angel of Yahuwah only does what Yahuwah sends him to do in righteousness. Pro doubts the righteousness of Elohim. The Egyptian first born were all either grown and evil, or newborn and Yahuwah was saving them from becoming evil. I am first born of my father and I am 21 years old. the same goes for any other time an "angel of Yahuwah" takes the life of someone. Don't doubt the righteousness of Elohim. All angels, or malakhim, of Yahuwah are the servants of Elohim and execute judgement in righteousness.
