Pro

I believe that we sould ask for guidance by another person in the community of the church or a priest to adapt the bible to modern life, e.g whether to operate on a person if they were a surgeon.
liamgouldy999

Con

I do not believe that the moral instructions said two thousand years ago should be used today to guide people to live there lives.

Using the Bible for Moral Authority.
Even Mao's Little Red Book is much more recent and equally as Authoritative.
At least Mao was a real Leader.
Not a bunch of Usurpers conning the public like Saul (Paul) and Peter (Simon) who spread the Bible.
They couldn't even use their real names.
They certainly had no authority over the world's morality.
American Indian religions were equally moral, more in tune with nature and possibly more authoritative.

Sounds to me like you are seeking something. Yet you are not fulfilled with whatever religion you follow my friend. Theirs no hope, no spirituality, there is something missing, indeed. Let me tell you about a religion that is similar to the Christian religion, now check this out, if i knew of a religion that was close to mine, i would not be ignorant and prideful with the simple human belief that my religion is the one, and no other religion is right. I would do my research. This is a guidance for you. Don't let this opportunity go. Read the Koran.

Reasons for voting decision: Poorly structured arguments from both sides, neither used any sources. Conduct goes to con because pro first forfeited, which is a poor move when debating.
