Greetings! :)
Please do not troll this debate. I will argue that the Big Bang theory is currently the most accurate theory for the description of this world. The Big Bang theory insinuates that the Universe is 13.7 billion years old, and is ever expanding. I will be defending the contemporary model of the Big Bang theory as seen by most physicists. It will be the theory enunciated by Weinberg, Hawkings, and Gates. I should inform you now that the arguments might get technical and I will be quoting from Hawkings and Gates' books, but I will summarize the arguments. The book references are for those who want proof.

The opponenet does not neccessarily have to be a Creationst, s/he may support Niels Toruk, or the Solid-state theory, et cetera. They may believe that the Big Bang theory is inaccurate or largely problematic. They may of course be Creationist however please remember while respect the Bible, I will not accept arguments based on it.

Rules:
1. The opponent will start his argument from the first round and will forfeit the last argument by writing: "forfeiture as agreed". This is so that a proper structure is maintained. Or the opponent may use the first round for acceptance and write in his last round aswell.
2. You will be penalized (as in negative marking overall) if you do not cite sources, sources can be from books, wiki's, journals, websites. The credibility of the sources is decided of course by the voters.
3. No semantic arguments.
4. In the last argument a summary and conclusion should be presented labelling the main issues, this should be a minimum of 500 characters, ideally 1500 characters.
5. Con must provide a counter-model for the Universe and defend it with arguments.
6. The Burden of Proof is shared insofar as I must prove the Big Bang model and the opponent must prove their model.
7. If there is a forfeiture without reason, or if the opponent trolls this debate s/he will be reported and all my friends, and hopefully voters will be asked to report s/he. However if a reason is given or it occured due to some unavoidable cause we can call this debate a tie!

Hello, I am hoping that you will grace my challenge with an acceptance as I have genuine problems accepting the Big Bang theory. By accepting this debate I agree to the following:

1. I WILL uphold respect at all times for the affirmative team.
2. I WILL accept the written terms and agreements as posted above.

I will give reasoning based on Bible verses, as I believe it is a valid book. This is the ultimate source for my Christianic belief, as I believe a six Day creation is the most Accurate theory.

I thank my opponent for accepting this debate, and perhaps optimistically hope it will be engaging and enlightening. The method I wil be following is first proving certain individual elements such as gravity, the Theory of Relativity, and dark matter, and then place them together to show that the Big Bang theory is the best explanation that satisfies the previous elements.

1. The Big Bang Theory:
(1.1)I will begin by explaning what is the big bang theory. It is a theory* that seeks to explain the birth of the Universe. The Big Bang theory is not, against popular opinion, anything related to a bang. In the simplest form the big bang theory states that at a point where TIme began, the entire Universe was fit into the dot of this "i". Then due to some unkown reason, the Universe began expanding rapidly. Why? There are many speculations but we are not sure, the main reason however could have been because of tthe birth of dark matter, which even now is making the Universe expand. Yes, the Universe is constantly expanding, as I will show below. Now the Big Bang states, as the above picture will show that the Universe while expanding was very very hot. The tempreatures were up to 10^32, after one millionth of the second the tempreature had come to 10^13 but there was still only nuclear soup. There was currently no particle formed and mass (which is also a form of energy) invested in more speed energy than in mass. At around t ~ 1 minute nucleo-synthesis began where radiation began. It took nearly 400,000 years for the first elements such as Deutrium, and Lithium to be formed. Now the Big Bang theory predicts firstly that the Universe is expandind, secondly that space and time are not seperate entities, the world is 13.8 billion years ago, the Earth, plantes and stars formed by themselves due to gravity where dust and gas condensed at high pressures. The Big Bang theory also states that the Earth is only one of the small planets, from one of the minute galaxies that span the solar system. To prove the Big Bang theory I will show certain elements it is based on, and conclude on how no other theory can explain all these phenomenon. While it is clear the theory is still under work and is still seeking answers to questions like whether a multiverse exists, the Big Bang theory is currently the most accurate theory available.

2. The Universe is 13.8 Billion Years old (+/- 0.25 billion):

(2.1)The above pictures are actually taken of the Universe 13.8 billion years ago. This is called the Cosmic Microwave Background and using Einstein's Telescope (which is explained more later) and the Hubble Telescope scientists have actually taken photos of the early Universe. Since these photons took 13.8 billion years to get to us, this proves that the Universe is in fact more than 7000 years old, it is 13.8 billion years old. I have of course cited the source where one may also check the mathematical proofs.

3. The Universe is Expanding:

(3.1)The Theories of Relativity:
The first proof of the Universe expanding is the mathematical proof of General Relavitiy. Einstein predicted many years before it had actually been seen that the Universe is constantly expandind. He first thought he had made a mistake and added a cosmological constant, however Edwin Hubble showed in the 1930's that the Universe is actually expanding. I cannot of course easily prove Einsteins equations here however I have posted links below. The simplest proof of Einstein's Relativity is that there is a formation of Einsteins Rings, something that would never happen had Einstein been wrong. Only if Einsteins equations are correct and gravity warps space-time can we get to see images of galaxies much farther. These space telescopes can be observed by an average refractory telescope. The second proof is that Pluto can be seen to be off its course. Newton struggles for a long time trying to understand why Pluto goes off its course every year, he could not however come to a conclusion and only Einsteins equations satisfy this theory.

As this photo shows that space-time can be curved and this affects the way light tranvels and causes Einstein rings to be formed due to a spectalcular lens.

The Image below shows the process, that on the left shows different rings.

4. Only Big Bang Explains Dark Matter and Dark Energy:
This is a recent discovery, that of dark matter and dark energy make up most of the world. Creationism as my opponent is arguing cannot explain this phenomenon. Only the Big Bang theory (not even the Sold State theory) has a description and explanation for dark energy and dark matter. Also dark matter can only be seen by Einstein's rings.
This is a photo of dark matter, so we know it exists you cannot question it. Here is another photo which explains this phenomenon abit better.

You cannot really argue with these photos because they are all real, seen from telescopes.

5. Hubble's Law:
(5.1)Hubble's law is the name for the observation in physical cosmology that: (1) objects observed in deep space (extragalactic space, ~10 megaparsecs or more) are found to have a Doppler shift interpretable as relative velocity away from the Earth; and (2) that this Doppler-shift-measured velocity, of various galaxiesreceding from the Earth, is approximately proportional to their distance from the Earth for galaxies up to a few hundred megaparsecs away. This is normally interpreted as a direct, physical observation of the expansion of the spatial volume of the observable universe.

Conclusion:
I could have given a longer written boring answer, and I would have had my opponent supported lets say Niels Toruk I would have written techincal proofs alongside mathematics, however since my opponent is a Creationist, and the last astrophysicist who was a Creationist died in the 1100's I thought I would write little, and show him through pictures (none of these are photoshopped) that such phenomenon actually exist. I have written in brief what these phenonmenon are, I can of course not provide any easy proof, as proofs are very mathematical, however I have cited sources where the six page long proofs may be found. In essence I also suspect I will get a forfeiture so I did not want to invest too much energy. I hope you like the photos, and please vote Pro for unless the opponent can show how Creationism deals with Relativitiy and Dark Matter, or disprove dark matter I win.

Read first line of first round: for the explanation of the universe. You could argue it but I would win easy, with dark matter and WIMP's gravity is a thing of the past.

so...technically someone could argue the theory of gravity is more accurate...?

I should mention that I wrote in my first argument that I will not accept arguments based on the bible. Nor am I Christian to accept its validity (I am Muslim), and in any case it does not have any scientific backing.

In retrospect I should have accepted this. I was hoping I would get a contender who would advance another theory, I even mentioned Niels Toruk's theory of the cyclic universe.

I bet the Con side will use the 'Its only a theory' argument at some point in this debate.
Just in case, a quick reminder - Gravity is technically a theory..
