-My opponent seems to be ill and belives that the earth (lol) revolves around the sun.. he is comepletely false-

-My opponent wishes for me to begin for some most likely retarted reason so yes.. i shall.-

-Have you ever noticed that big yellow bright ball that glows over head during the day? it is not called "the sun" it is called useless. Also no.. we do not revolve around it, For it revolves around us. As you must have notced by now (O.o) the "useless" moves over our sky from west to east.. to do this it must obviously move..-

-Some mental cases belive that the earth moves at an insane speed around the "useless".. if this were so would we not implode from being useless ourselves? If we were to move as fast as some say then we would feel it no? We dont, but we see the yellow orb of useless move across our sky each and every day.-

-My opponent had to many french fries for lunch and is suffering from retard at the momment and belives that his so called "sun" doesnt move around us. Also my opponent must prove to me that we do infact move around the "useless"-

-Opponent turn begins-

Also no.. we do not revolve around it, For it revolves around us. As you must have notced by now (O.o) the "useless" moves over our sky from west to east.. to do this it must obviously move///

The first person who had experimental evidence for this was the astronomer F.W. Bessel who in 1838 was able to measure the parallax of a nearby star. This showed that the earth was at a different place, relative to the star, in June than it was in January. And geometry showed that the two places were on opposite sides of the sun. More parallax measurements since his time have confirmed that the earth follows a closed path around the sun.

We do not feel the movement of the sun because we are n it. As you do not feel yourself moving inside a car moving at a constant speed, we do not feel our movement on a planet at a constant speed.

\\\My opponent had to many french fries for lunch and is suffering from retard at the momment and belives that his so called "sun" doesnt move around us. Also my opponent must prove to me that we do infact move around the "useless"-

First of all, "Retard" is not a disease. Second of all I stated proof above.

My turn ends.

NOTE: I am not suffering from mental illnesses at this time.

-So a man with the greatest eyes in all of history showed up and looked at a random star in the sky and said "yep were moving". This is excellent. How do we know that the san and the star revolve around us? we would still be on opposite sides of the sun but they revolve around the earth.-

-"We do not feel the movement of the sun because we are n it. As you do not feel yourself moving inside a car moving at a constant speed, we do not feel our movement on a planet at a constant speed."-

-My opponents case of retard worsens for now he belives that we live on the sun.. no wonder you belive that the earth revolves around the sun. As for the not feeling ourselves move; have you ever drove around in a convertable and went at 60 MPH.. or any speed at that? If you have then you would know that you do indeed feel the movement of the car from the wind blowing at you.. However we do not feel this with our planet why? because we dont move.. the sun revolves around the earth as you can easily tell by the fact that we see it move across our sky on a daily basis.-

Because the stars themselves seem to have moved, which even according to geocentric model, they don't (except the rotation of the Earth.

I am sorry for the typo, I meant the because we are on the Earth. You only feel the force of inertia push you into the back of your seat if you are accelerating. Once the convertible levels off at 60, you cannot feel motion. You may feel the wind in your face, but space is a vacuum, so there is no wind.

\\\lolololololololololol-///

-"Because the stars themselves seem to have moved, which even according to geocentric model, they don't (except the rotation of the Earth"-

-We dont notice that our planet moves.. we only have the stars to look at and we see that they have moved therfore its more reasonable to belive that the stars (includeing the sun) revolve around the earth.-

-Space may be a vaccum but there is air in earths atmosphere.. we feel wind when the car moves yet we dont feel it when the planet supposedly moves at extrame speeds. Again based on this and the fact that we cant tell that our planet has moved reletive to te stars and sun makes it more beliveable that everything else is moveing around us (earth).-

-"Laugh all you want"-

-OreEle?-

-"Yes."-

-No it ended your wrong again-

Well Rockylightning, one of your arguments looks oddly familiar...

well if you're gonna get technical both the sun and the earth revolve around their common center of gravity, the sun being so comparatively massive that this "center" is within it...

"True, good catch. The Earth travels in an ellipse."

That's what the debate was supposed to be. But moose didn't catch the hint.
