Should teachers assign homework? Is homework beneficial or outdated? What do you think- should homework exist in the lives of students? I am for homework as I argue that it provides practice for students so they can continue working on the skill to learn and remember it. Use it or lose it is a common saying but it's true about anything we learn or are trying to learn. Homework allows us to use it so we don't lose it.

Teachers should not assign homework, If a teacher can not teach what needs to be taught in the time given then that is there failing, not the students.
When my children get home from school, they are on my time, school is over, they shouldn't be working a second shift. Children need time to unwind and play outside see friends and socialize. We are creating a jam-packed hurried day without a chance to play, relax and interact. Adding hours to an already busy day is absurd.

Homework can be stressful enough that it can make students drop out of school because students spend too much time working instead of doing things enjoyable.Homework is precisely that: work at home.
The place for our children to be doing independent work is the setting designed for such work, the schools themselves. Teachers or other adults with appropriate skills and experience should be paid to assist our children in independent projects that would advance their learning Once again homework isn t necessary. The goal is often increased achievement. The bigger question is whether we want achievement or learning. If the goal is learning, homework kills the desire to learn. I really, strongly think that more kids would stay in school and have a better learning experience if they did not have the stress of homework.
