The books are much better, because of the other characters involved, the richer storyline, and others. In the books, we see the backstories of all of the characters in the movie, as well as why they are the way they are. There are no blankspots or questions. The characters aare also more developed and have more feeling(directly speaking of Pitch).
you might say the books are better but if you were to put all the things from the book into the movie, then the movie would be a ten hour movie. the people who create this movie did a great job on the characters
I do agree, but, they changed it so much that it is almost unrecognizable. There is nothing wrong with the movie. And a ten hour movie would suck. I realize that they MUST change it, but, so much? The storyline is so good, why didn't they incorporate more plot points? One can only wonder.
That is undeniably a good reason, but there are so many characters missing and many plot aspects absent, that though it is a good movie,it is hard to look past it once you reach a certain age. You want to know more about the gaurdians and pitch and where they came from. It leaves too many holes, but are able to bypass that because of the attention-span of a child.
yes you should a lot of the kids who watch the movie are little kids who just want to see a movie about something fun not about the history of the characters and how they became jack frost or sandman. kids just want to see a movie. a lot of movies that are based off the books leave a lot of stuff out for an example the hunger games when a Tribute dies, the cannon sounds immediately and in swoops a hovercraft. But the cannon seemed inconsistent and the crafts never arrived.
