The Syrian Uprising of 2011 is a huge example of violation of human rights . The Syrian Government has unnecessarily opened fire and has used their military power against the demonstrations of public , who were displeased by the government's not giving them the rights they are rightfully entitled to , causing the opposition to do the same. This has lead to a series of conflicts between the government and the armed opposition thereby leading to the loss of many innocent lives and major scale property.
This being great violation of human rights has invoked the displeasure of many international communities like the United Nations , The Arab League as well as the various independent states in the world . Many Governments have placed sanctions on the Syrian Government to pressurize them to withdraw their military strength and proceed with peace talks . This has been to no avail . Therefore , I believe it is time that the International Communities and various countries intervene before this
massacre becomes worse and larger than it already is .

I do agree with you in the sense that the situation in Syria is horrible and the systematic slaughter of the civilian population must cease. I am a huge believer in the protection of human rights although military intervention will only spur more chaos in Syria and the region. The Western world have admitted that they are too afraid to attack because of the threat it would pose to the little stability that exists in the Middle East.

With tensions between the West/Israel and Iran on the rise a regional power bloc has been formed to defend the tyrannous Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made threats to attack Israel and Western naval ships in the Gulf, Lebanon's Hezbollah has threatened to invade northern Israel, the Gaza Strip's Hamas have said they will fire rockets into Israel if either Lebanon, Iran or Syria is attacked. There is no reason to believe that these are empty threats.

As much as I want the killing in Syria to end, foreign military intervention is not the answer.
