I. Introduction.

Greetings! The resolution of this debate is as follows:

"The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 Should Be Abolished."

II. Definitions.

"Abolished" is defined as "to officially end or stop (something, such as a law) : to completely do away with (something)."

III. Debate Structure.

This debate is organized into five rounds:

Round 1 = Acceptance.
Round 2 = Opening Arguments.
Round 3 = Additional Arguments/Rebuttals.
Round 4 = Rebuttals.
Round 5 = Closing Arguments.

There are also rules to govern this debate:

2. No profane, insulting, or otherwise improper language.
3. All sources must be cited, however you choose to do so.
4. Debaters may only forfeit up to one round each.

Failure to comply with any of these rules by either party warrants immediate forfeiture of the debate; the offending party shall duly suffer the loss.

I accept your debate. I do tend to agree with you, but I decided to take a debate against my current opinion.

After reading the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984, I am prepared to debate the CON side of the discussion for the upholding of the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984.

I also propose that the "National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984" should/can be just referred to as the "Act of 84" for this debate.

if you are an "adult" at 18, then you should be able to do EVERYTHING at that age, drinking, driving, rent a car, buy a home, EVERYTHING
