Con

I would first like to thank my opponent for creating and debating such a interesting and unique topic.

I would just like to point out this is only one round so I will be making all my arguments in this single round. My opponent has given me no definitions including the word "beautiful."

So therefore, this entire case topic is based off opinion rather then any factual evidence. As my opponent only evidence is "it's so beautiful."

I will define beautiful as the dictionary does: "Having qualities that delight the senses, especially the sense of sight."

Now the Prince of Egypt is a fine movie but is it the most beautiful disney/pixar movie to exist ever? No.

Just a list of other Pixar/Disney movies include:

(Pixar)
Toy Story
Finding Nemo
Cars
The Incredibles
WALL-E

http://en.wikipedia.org...

(Disney)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio
Fantasia
Dumbo
Bambi
Cinderella
Treasure Island
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
20,000 leagues under the Sea
Lady and the Tramp
Old Yeller
Mary Poppins
The Jungle Book
Robin Hood
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Pocahontas
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Hercules
Mulan
A Bug's Life
Tarzan

http://en.wikipedia.org...

Now you my reader have probably seen a good number of those movies either as a child, a parent, or just a regular teenager. Do you not remember how great those movies were? How much you loved them?

Who can forget such a beautiful scene from the Lion King such as shown in the first video above.

Or another wonderful scene from The Hunchback of Notre Dame as shown in the second video.

Or the unforgettable song "A Whole New World" from Aladdin as shown in the third video.

And if you the reader just want a funny yet lovable character in what was one of the greatest films of 2008 then look no further then WALL-E as shown in the fourth video.

Or if you care for the message behind the story, then one can't forget Toy Story and it's message about friendship. Or how about Bambi's mother being shot in the movie Bambi?

Or even if you want non-animation how about Old Yeller when the son had to take Old Yeller out to the back because he was too far gone?

My point being, the list of Disney/Pixar movies that is better then The Price of Egypt is huge. I do not want to post ten or twenty something videos of different movies as my opponent only posted two videos and I wish to be fair.

Final Points:

My opponent did not define their terms and had only one contention.

That one contention was very short, with little evidence to back it up besides "it's beautiful" and two videos with a short explaination about what they were. I have explained that beautiful can also go beyond just the images, like with the message in Toy Story or Lion King.

I've have listed two links along with a list of movies that I would consider more "beautiful" then The Prince of Egypt. So therefore I should also win sources on the ballot by default along with the fact I posted good youtube videos that explained my points.

I did not have to prove that "The Prince of Egypt" was a bad movie, rather that it wasn't the most beautiful.

So therefore, remember all this when you go to cast your ballot and please vote CON.

Thank You and Thank you once again for reading this debate.

No problem. I was bummed when I tried to accept the debate and was too late. It would have been the best defense ever! Oh well.

Poor Robert_Santurri. If this is not a good example of vote bombing, I don't know what is!

Can't imagine if that was so.

Though Disney really hates Parents as characters in a story. Look at how many disney stories in which the characters didn't have parents or they killed them off. Lol

LOL! No wonder it was so traumatic. I'm glad they spared us by not animating it. Could you imagine the number of 8-year old suicides that year?
