The U.S. Government is becoming too influenced by religion.

Separation of church and state. religion has no place in politics. George H.W. has made too many claims and decisions in the name of God, Which has put christianity in a bad light, as well as the United States. It seems that Americans are pushing for this to continue though, with the huge voter emphasise on which church your are a part of and what not. we are going down a dangerous road, and it isn't too late to turn back.

This is a bummer, because Pro's arguement is flawed and lacking in argumentative information. This could have been an interesting debate. Why would someone take a debate and not even offer one argument?

The government is not supposed to establish any religion. The founding fathers did not want to make something as in the English, who created the Anglican church. Game over.

I disagree with the Pro and believe his arguments to be severely flawed, but a flawed argument is superior to no argument whatsoever, so the Pro gets my vote.

The only correct thing you said in your arguement is that we are going down a dangerous road. But you have it backwards. Our country is more secular than ever, not more religious.
However, as I have said before, find the words, separation of church and state in the Constitution, and I will agaree that religion has no place in politics. Until then, you have no grounds.

FUN FACT: BILL CLINTON MENTIONED GOD MORE TIMES THAN GEORGE BUSH. The U.S. is more secularized now than ever.
