I will be arguing in favor of the FairTax, a bill which repeals our current tax system and replaces it with a 23% national retail sales tax.

First round is acceptance.

Con

I will argue simply that the US should not adopt the FairTax at this time given the current system, and that an intermediate transitional system should first be adopted and proven viable.

I am unfortunately going to have to concede this argument - I have been busy and don't have time to write a proper introductory argument in the time I have left. If my opponent would like to restart a debate sometime in the future I would be happy to oblige.

I accept Pro's concession.
