Thank you for presenting this topic.
I would like to ask for clarification on one thing however.
When you say "The United States should fund online high school", do you mean the government should provide free curriculum, funding for computers for students, or both?

I look forward to debating you.

The united states should fund "online" high schools as schools at home

===My case===
It is the role of the government to look into every single conflicts, know with this train of thought, The government should look into every conflict and decipher it by choosing which is proportional and which is not. By looking into every aspect of the conflict, the government is then able pass the proportional laws or decisions thus neglecting those that are not. when looking into the issue of online high schools, we must find that this is a serious issue as it deals with one of Americas struggles (education).
Contention one: Teen parenting
In our current generation, we often find that there are many teens who often take on the responsibility of parents at a very young age.
Sub point one: Time
just like i mentioned earlier in my speech "In our current generation, we often find that there are many teens who often take on the responsibility of parents at a very young age." know as we all know it, parenting requires a lot of responsibility as well as time. Time something that most of these teen parents simply do not have and in most cases cannot afford to have. These parents are then forced to drop out of school so that they are able to take care of there children as well as provide them with time to get a job and support there children. The only option left for these kids is to take their classes online where they are able to properly bend there studies to their own needs.
"Students will be able to plan their study time around the rest of their day instead of the other way around. Studying at nigh time or in the morning is up to the student. It is recommended that students try to develop a study routine if they can." (http://oedb.org...)

Contention Two: Lower Cost
When looking into online high schools and how exactly it affects teen parents, we also have to take in consideration that the online high school is cheaper. I assume that i do not have to tell the different expenses that these parents take on so i will just move ahead and tell you exactly how cheaper it is. We often find that within our school zones, we are required to by text books however when taking the online high schools, we must find that all and i repeat all the provision needed is provided for the student. the student does not even have to use a pen for they are able to type the information giving. The student does not have to pay any tuition in comparison to the actual high schools.
"You can now earn affordable and cheap high school diplomas online based on your work / life experience you've accumulated over the years. You won't have to study endless hours, go through lots of books and pay large amount of money as semester fee!" (http://www.online-high-school-diploma.com...)

Contention Three: Transfer of credits
Rather than just staying at the surface and talking about teen parenting and the cost of online schools, lets go deeper into talking about the transfer of credits. for many years the one problem with online classes is the transfer of credits, however; we find that the funding for these online classes especially towards the high school ages could really increase and benefit the students as to the transfer of credits. Students may choose to earn some of their college credits online and some in a traditional college setting. For college students who want to attend summer classes, but who live too far from their colleges or who have to work summer jobs, taking online classes from an accredited college and transferring the credits to their college is a good idea. Students will be able to earn college credit while enjoying their summer vacation

"Online colleges are flexible enough to work for most students, but some take just a few classes online before deciding to complete their education at a college campus. Online courses can also be great for students who want to complete college faster by working over the summer break or who want to supplement their schedule with relevant courses. The bottom line is that you don't have to intend to complete your degree online to takes a few distance learning classes." (http://bestonlineuniversities.com...)
Thank you and i hope to see or rather read you debate.
