My opponent gave no definitions regarding his topic/claim.

World Trade Organization: "An international organization which oversees a large number of agreements defining the "rules of trade" between its member states."

Globalization: "The development of an increasingly integrated global economy marked especially by free trade, free flow of capital, and the tapping of cheaper foreign labor markets."

Imperialism: " The policy, practice, or advocacy of extending the power and dominion of a nation especially by direct territorial acquisitions or by gaining indirect control over the political or economic life of other areas."

Tariff: "A schedule of duties imposed by a government on imported or in some countries exported goods."

Corporatism: "The organization of a society into industrial and professional corporations serving as organs of political representation and exercising control over persons and activities within their jurisdiction."

Plutocracy: "Government by the wealthy."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will now present my arguments against the WTO..

1. *The WTO is inherently undemocratic*
The so-called "regulations" that are put in place by the WTO are written by and for the corporations that have inside access to the organization. Which creates an alibi for these particular private sectors to ignore environmental protection, human rights and any form of labor organizations that would create a sense of fair democratic apposition to these monstrous entities. In other words undermining democracy.

2. *The WTO advocates for the privatization of life's necessities and essential services.*
The WTO's General Agreement on Trade in Services, (GATS) wishes to privatize various public institutional components of nations (usually operated by foreign countries) including human resources, public sanitation, infrastructure, financial institutions, transportation and even means of water. Yes, matter in fact, the nation of Bolivia's water was privatized to the point where so much conflict was created that the country was placed under martial law and horrifically had a war take place. All through the actions of privatization. In some countries, privatization of essential services is rampantly spreading. Those who desperately need these necessities are the ones least able to pay for vital services. Leaving the impoverished exploited, cheated and used as little worker bee's all for the needs of some empirical corporation from a foreign nation. Thus, the free market at it's finest..

3. *The WTO is increasing the wealth inequality at an exponentially alarming rate.*
During the years of record investment in the "global economy", wealth inequality was appearing at record numbers. Also during the Reagan tyrannical years of deregulation, created a corporatist society during which would rob the workers of the world blind and make the rich richer. Through the actions of privatization, deregulation, and inevitably globalization. All of which actions are the most beloved by the WTO..

Granted my claims need some clarification however I beleif the information speaks for itself.
