Bullies. They are the bane of every child's good dreams, the bringers of nightmares for many schoolage childeren. I must announce that the best way for people not to be victimized is to as a victim demonstrate to the bully why you are not to be meddled with. If anyone is scared of you, they won't really come back to mess with you. Experience proves this.

Giving a bully a reason to be scared of you is not the way to go about it. You are no better than the bully themselves.

Fear isn't something we should use in such a way. We shouldn't scare the bullies off, for they would continue bullying someone else they feel is weaker than you.

There are much better ways to do things, like these:

1) Talk to an adult you trust. Talk to an adult whom you feel could provide support for you
2) Ignore the bully. In less severe cases. the bullies just tease you to get a reaction. In more severe cases involving physical confrontations, this will not help however.
3) Stay within a group of friends. The single bully will not attack you if you are surrounded by your friends.
4) Verbally stand up to them. Tell them that they need to stop being so nasty, and that you are not going to stand being treated like this
5) Try to avoid the bully. This may not always work but it could help

What's the point of stopping one bully by beating them up? Wouldn't that just make you a bully instead? Why would you want to sink to the bully's level?

Think about this. If a person murdered your friend, would you then go murder that person? A logical answer would be no. Why you might ask? Because then you would be a murderer, and you would go to jail as well.

Don't start a fight; defend yourself if necessary, but do not try to beat the bully up, as this could possibly result in them despising you even more.

Fear is not always beating someone up. In high school one specific person attempted to talk crap about me, and all I had to do while looking down at them was ask: "I wouldn't do that if I were you.." Before you knew it, the bully was off screaming in the other diretion. Since that incident, I have never seen him again. His fear is what deters him from attacking me. This can be relatable to when someone attempts to rob you. You whip out a gun, and it is implied what could happen to them if they don't beat it. After that, it wouldn't take long for assailant to run. Intimidation is good in most situations as bully repellent.

So you're okay with implying that you'd beat them up? Implying you'd turn into a bully?

Think about it, you'd still become a bully, become the person you were trying to escape from. Fear is what bullies use to control their victims. Is that what you're going to be? Just another bully? Use logic, intelligence, or any other way to solve your problem. Don't become a bully, stop the bully!

Take a look at Casey Heynes. This now incedibly famous Austrailian kid, who had been bullied for YEARS, finally snapped at a certain point. In another interview, Casey talks about how he was never bullied again after this incident. The bullies are now scared to mess with him, as he sent a message to all bullies that he was not to be meddled with. He is now an international hero to childeren his age.

Our PC brainwashed puppets will tell you that violence is not the answer, but it is true that someone who you socked in the face wont keep messing with you. Cannot dispute that.

*Sees Con's Round 2 argument* Ehhh... Why are you still talking about beating someone up? Pro's talking about subtly threatening the bully.
