Even though the black knights found out about zero and his ability they should of kept him as there leader instead of betraying him.

First, I would like to thank my opponent for starting this debate which features one of my most favorite anime series. Second, I wish him the best of luck and ask that readers examine both sides of the debate without bias. With that said, let us proceed.

======================
Zero did many atrocious things as leader of the BKs
======================

We must keep in mind the primary reasons as to why Zero was betrayed. It wasn't necessarily about his geass ability and that he was a former prince of Brittania. Rather, it boiled down to the fact that that he was constantly using the Black knights and the Japanese as pawns to bring about the result he desired (that the world be a gentler place for Nunnaly's sake, that he could avenge his mother's death and that he could protect everything/everyone he cherished). His deplorable actions consisted of him killing off many of the japanese as well as members of the black knights whether it be through geass or explosives.

This is very much comparable to you waking up one morning, only to find out that Barack Obama (or the leader of your country, assuming you don't live in the USA) was not only directly the cause of the terrorist events that occured during 9/11, but that he been responsible for the death of your entire family and that he would continue to commit similar atrocities. If you had found out that Barack Obama was responsible for this and that he would continue to be responsible for similar actions in the future, would you still want him to be president of the US?

==============================
Zero getting betrayed worked out for the best |
==============================

Considering how the series ended, the betrayal worked out benefitting the entire world. After all, not only was it the betrayal that lead to lelouch having the incentive to quickly locate his father and stop him from achieving his plans that would result in the world forver being in an unchanging state, but the hatred which Lelouch managed to gain from the Black Knight learning of his past deeds went towards putting Lelouch in the perfect position to bring about true world peace.

Ergo, it is rather clear that the resolution was false. For all intensive purposes, the Black Knights should have betrayed Zero.
