The chicken came first for many reasons. First is the new research by scientist at Sheffield and Warwick University. Another reason is that theology tells you that god created all the birds first and blessed them with eggs, how you define eggs and how the chickens came around.

First argument is that evolution would have brought the chicken first. When a bird is born from an egg, the hatchling and egg are considered part of the species that laid it. After it has been born Scientist and other people can call the animal an new species like a chicken. My example is that when a red jungle fowl (chicken ancestor) lays an egg, that egg is considered and the hatchling born from it are considered a red jungle fowl. The scientists or other people can look at its DNA or see special traits that the hatchling has and declare it a new species, meaning that the egg was not a chicken, but if that new species lays eggs, they will be called chicken eggs because of its parents would be known as chickens.
So species mutate, that's a fact. But they can't mutate when they're alive, they must be born with a deviation to be considered another specy. So two birds that were very similar to a chicken made love and created an egg that contained that bird with the devation that made him a chicken. If it was laid by a chicken then how was that chicken created? If going by that theory it must have been made by another chicken and so on. So implying the chicken came first would create a paradox. ... So I looked into it and it seems the chicken really did came first. But let's continue the debate just for sh*ts and giggles, I want to know more about it. |

You say that creatures can't mutate when they are alive, well that is true, but what I meant was either the parents were chickens because of the mutation that they spread to their offspring or the chicken came first only because the egg could not have been holding a chicken, it was holding a red jungle fowl with new characteristic, that after the the baby bird is becomes an adult bird and can be compared to its parents, it would have scientist compare it to its parents and get it's name changed to a new species.
My next argument is that God created the Chicken first. "And God said, 'Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.' And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the ses, and let fowl multiply in the earth." Because scientists have not been able to prove god not real, this argument can be applied, some things that scientists can't prove that faith can are the palcebo effect, (look up), dark matter, speed of light, or houw the universe came. The placebo can be expressed by god being caring and blessing certain people. God would not have created the egg first because he would have to care for it by incubating it and fertilizing it like a mother chicken does. beatmaster2012 forfeited this round. |
