Yes, I think the drinking age should be lowered to 18. In Europe the drinking age is 16 years old. Statistics say that since the people over there start drinking at age 16, by the time they get there license at age 18 they don't care as much about drinking and care more about driving since they have their license. There are less drinking and driving accidents over in Europe than in any other place in the world. Almost every country besides us has a drinking age of 18. I think if other countries are handling it fine then we should be able to.

The drinking age in the United States should be lowered to 18 since it is 21 right now. I think that it will help prevent less accidents and people will learn a lot earlier from their bad actions with drinking. The United States should be equal with the other countries when it comes to the drinking age. If the other countries aren't having as many problems as us with drinking, then we need to try what those other countries are doing.

SORRY for my improper usage of language and u got a point connecting to the topic, during age 18 our brain releases certain syndromes helping them in presence of mind it has a great deal to do with driving and as u know drinking is injurious to health in a way it affects our syndromic activity.thus drinking age must be not decreased

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Tie. Both ended up forfeiting the debate in the final round, which is rarely acceptable behavior in any debate setting. Thus, they both lose the chance at conduct points. I would highly recommend you guys try not to forfeit rounds, as it costs you conduct points. S&G - Pro. While Pro had some minor errors, Con had some significant errors in both rounds regarding both spelling and grammar. Due to the higher amount of errors from Con, Pro is awarded these points. Arguments - Tie. This was difficult to decide. Ultimately though, Con failed to rebut anything Pro said in the opening round due to his misunderstanding. He acknowledged this himself in the next round. Furthermore, in the next round, Pro presented a case comparing the benefits seen in other countries to our own here in America. Instead of rebutting that, Con makes an argument for brain development. Since neither rebutted the other properly, this is tied. Sources - Tie. Neither used sources.
