I was curious what the internet thinks about this "issue" so I made an account and started this debate just to have a go. Please anyone who feels I am wrong tell me why and I can tell you my point of view. I feel quite strongly that the earth is pretty obviously a round rock in space. Let's say that if the earth was flat how would gravity function? In all fairness a planet can be somewhat flat, Google the dwarf planet Haumea it is kind of an egg shape. If a planet is spinning very very fast it will stretch from the equator outward until it spins so fast it splits in two. This, however, is not happening on earth because can see with our eyes, never would've thought of that now would you, that there are no large distortions such as what we see on Haumea. I would like to see what sort of counter-arguments the community comes up with. Please excuse my grammar and run-on sentences and consider my point. Also, when I say you I don't mean everybody who is reading as I most certainly know that I am not the only one who thinks the earth is a sphere. My laptop battery is at 2% so I am finally done now.
