Well, first lets define "dangerous item" shall we? A dangerous item could be anything used to inflict psychological or physical harm to someone. This could be a gun or a knife. It could also be a simple piece of rope used to strangle someone, or a keyboard used to type the coding for a virus and inflict psychological pain onto another person.
Regulating every dangerous item would be literally impossible by these standards. However, if you meant "Items used for inflicting pain." including knives, daggers, guns, nun-chucks, then that is quite different. Most of these kind items are already banned and should remain banned in most countries, including blades, guns and nun-chucks. Our city streets can do without large amounts of violence, we would be better off if you were penalized for carrying something dangerous. Ask yourself this; do we really need to be carrying around violent weapons?

your adoration of regulation exposes you as a comitapilast.

I do not "adore" regulation, I just do not see the need for violent weapons when we could live together peacefully. Furthermore, I do not see how your small statement constitutes an argument.
