I believe that it is unconstitutional for the government to say who can get married to who.

Con

The Constitution says nothing about marriage.

Exactly, that means that it is not one of the powers of government, the feds should not be able to look through our constitution and see what was left out so that they can start another agency.

Con

There are many things not enumerated in the Constitution that the government does anyway. As long as it does not interfere with the Bill of Rights and, more specifically, the freedom of religion, then how does it affect you?

If the government is not involved on any level of marriage. This will affect taxes, benefits...... Also, the government places parameters around different marriages such as adults can not marry animals, or children..... So you think the government should not be involved on this level?
