The internet can an dwill run out of space whether it run out of space a long time from now it will run out of sace
rougeagent21

Con

I am arguing that the internet cannot run out of "sace." Well, as my opponent is affirmative, the burden of proof is on him. Please post your argument, and I will refute it as quickly as I can. Thank you.

If we run out of memory in every computer in the world and there is no room to create another computer then it is posible, even though it may not look or sound possible it in theory is possible. So now its your turn, good debate
rougeagent21

Con

My opponent makes two main arguments

1-Every computer runs out of memory
This is impossible. Many computers do not even access the internet, much less fill themselves to the brim with data. What is one possible reason this unwarranted claim could actually happen?

2-There is no more room to make another computer
This is, again, impossible. If there were no more room to make a computer, we would be dead. Again, there is NO warrant to this claim.

For these reasons, I can only negate the resolution. Thank you.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that there was no mention of ipv4 vs ipv6? The internet is only as big as the number of machines it can address.

For the internet to run out of space, all that is necessary is for the demand to exceed the supply. That could be done at any time. However, Pro had the burden of proof and didn't make the argument. There was no restriction of the internet to the earth.

Pro should absolutely win this debate. He selected no time frame, neither did con. But yes in fact the the world could run out of matter altogether which would not allow us to make any more computers. Is it gonna happen soon? of course not. But think, a thousand years? again no most likely not. But think, how about 100 trillion years from now, there is definitely possibility that we could have nothing left. There is really no argument that could 100% say that that is not possible.

Only if every computer in the world that is connected to the Internet were to simultaneously be filled to the brim with info. So let's do this the Mythbusters way.
Plausible: Yes (barely)
Practical: Hell no!!!

Well, I suppose we theoretically COULD run out of matter with which to build computers....
