Debate Rounds (3)

Con Quick short point forms are ok but I get overwhelmed by long paragraphs of debating. The opponent will be arguing about how the last digit of pi IS the number zero. I will be arguing about how the last digit of pi is NOT a zero. The rounds will go like this, 1st intro, 2nd argument, and the final will be a rebut. May the best man/woman win.Report this Argument Pro I thank my opponent for setting up this debate. I will be arguing that indeed the last digit of pi is indeed zero. Let us start with definitions. I will begin by defining pi as: pi = π = 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028840. I await my opponent's response.Report this Argument Con ilovemeat forfeited this round. Pro tBoonePickens forfeited this round. Con ilovemeat forfeited this round. Pro The last digit of pi or any other decimal can always be zero. Resolution confirmed. Vote Pro.Report this Argument

Pro and Con both lose. Pi doesn't have a last digit. Pro loses by default and Con establishes in round one his job is to show how pi's last digit is not a zero, which implies there is a last digit. Silly debate.

all decimals end in zero though, they are often just simplified.
6.5748269274940 becomes 6.5748269274.....

: I recall reading that back in the 1800's one of the state legislatures (Ohio?) defined pi as exactly 3.

I quite wanted to take the debate but couldn't find a good argument for Pro. Now, if this were a 1 round debate Pro might have won right there, but 3 rounds...

I pity the Pro for this debate

Since there is no last digit, there cannot be a last digit which is zero.

Con automatically wins.
