The drinking age should be lowered to 18 because once you turn 18, you can vote, go in to the military, etc. America has one of the highest drinking age, and many European countries have the drinking age 18 and even 16. There are some countries that don't even have a minimum drinking age.

Pro forfeited 2 rounds, and Con also forfeited 2 rounds, so they tie for conduct. I was able to read the arguments of both sides with ease, so they tie for spelling and grammar. Pro said, "The drinking age should be lowered to 18 because once you turn 18, you can vote, go in to the military, etc. America has one of the highest drinking age, and many European countries have the drinking age 18 and even 16. There are some countries that don't even have a minimum drinking age.

https://en.wikipedia.org...; This clearly states that the drinking age in the US should be lowered to 18, that you can do many things at 18 yet not drink (in the US), that many European countries have drinking ages lower than the US, and that many don't even have drinking ages. Because of Pro's good grammar, I was able to read Pro's argument with ease. Con said, "It should be the same.", which clearly states that the drinking age in the US should stay at 21. Because of Con's good grammar, I was able to read Con's argument with ease. Pro made the point that it's a double standard that 18-20 year olds in the US can legally vote, be in the military, etc., but not legally drink. This is actually an argument. Pro also pointed out that the US has one of the highest drinking ages in the world, which is also an argument. Con merely said, "It should be the same.", which Con doesn't have any evidence to back up. That's merely a paraphrase of Con's claim. So, Pro wins for convincing arguments. Pro used Wikipedia as a source, which is very reliable (contrary to popular beliefs, it's actually about as reliable as the Encylopaedia Britannica, which is highly reliable), but Con used literally no sources, so Pro wins for reliable sources.
