Indeed, more knocks should be given to mass media in developing countries cause they have not triggered the minds of citizens through their reportage

Mass media obviously has a large following. With this large following, anything aired, posted, shown, etc. will reach a large group of people who will see what is going on in these countries. For example, the riots in Ukraine, Brazil, and various other parts of the world. Now people in already developed countries can understand what is going on in far off parts of the world. Kudos to you, mass media. Mass media is in fact inspiring people in developing countries. People in these countries see for the first time what is truly going on in the world thanks to the internet and of course mass media. Kudos to you, mass media.

Indeed, let me not be misunderstood. The motion still remains more knocks than kudos should be given to mass media and from their, i set off. I never said kudos should not be given to them but am only arguing based on the motion..more knocks should be given to them because currently what they portray is not accurate like the case of recent happening in ukraine as stated by the cnn where the press allegedly portrayed false information concerning the event..the mass media should be given more knocks because they have not been able to solve the social, political and economic problems we facing the world..the mass media, bear the name'watch dog of the nation' but indeed, they are not doing their work.this leads to my stand in this argument: that since the mass media has not been able to solve the social, political and economic problem irrespective of the fact they are the watch dog of the nation, then more knocks should be given to them source:all africa.com, punch.com, cnn, the sun

Mass media should, and have been given more kudos then knocks for their research and reporting. My opponent only gave one example of mass media from misinterpreting information about the riots in Ukraine. But lets all keep in mind and this is important, if it wasn't for mass media, we wouldn't even know about the riots currently underway in Kiev. Without mass media we wouldn't be able to see what is going in far off parts of the world. Lets also keep in mind that CNN was caught making these lies by people, who reported it to other types of mass media and other sites/television shows made the mistakes more public. Mass media has shown more truths than lies in comparison to each other. Lets keep in mind that mass media isn't just Fox News, CNN, or MSNBC. Mass media doesn't have to be opinionated. Without mass media, their would be no information about the world, if we as a people gave more knocks than kudos to mass media then we would simply just be ignoring the important information that can give us an idea so we are better able to function, have a better government, and just be overall smarter. Thank you.

Mere looking at the media currently, they have been commercialized by either the government which makes it impossible for them to publish the bad act of the government in all areas.
