The media has become too biased and has become more of an entertainer than someone providing clear, unbiased news. A recent example is Senator Rand Paul's comments concerning vaccines. Most media outlets focused on the phrase "many tragic cases of walking, talking normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines." While he did say this, it was incredibly taken out of context. This brief, less than 10 second phrase was in fact part of a larger 17 minute interview. This isn't focused upon. Only the 10 seconds mattered to our modern media. The media has become a powerful figure in society whose voice is heard by millions.

Oh oh, I have 5 minutes left. Essentially the 1st ammendment protects the right for the media to have opinions and in order to "de-bias" the press you would have to violate the US Constituiton. That would be totalitarian and bashing people's rights. Sorry for the shortness :P
