I will most likely not use sources because the arguments that I will most likely use do not require sources, for this reason unless both me and my opponent use sources do not give the mark for the most reliable sources to either of us.

The square- The product of an integer multiplied by itself
An even integer- A number that when divided by 2 produces an integer

My opening argument:
An even integer can be represented as 2x where x is an integer
(2x)^2 = 4x^2
(4x^2)/2 = 2x^2
2x^2 is an integer because any integer multiplied by itself produces an integer and 2 multiplied by any integer is always an integer.

the square of 2 is not even, but about 1.41421356237
Debate Round No. 1

The square of two is four, the Square root of two is about 1.41421356237

this was about square root correct? What of -infinity?
Debate Round No. 2

No, it was about The square of any even integer, as defined in my opening post and stated in the title of this debate.
Infinity is not a number, it is the concept of a limitless value.

Yep, "easy and sleazy" is my motto

So let me get this right. You're looking to add a needed win to your record. But instead of gaining the win by being good at debating, you take the lazy route and go fishing for a sucker. You bait your trap with a challenge that's a double serving of idiot's delight and wait. A hapless moron wanders by and takes a bite. You then go in for the easy slaughter. You get a win in your record and you never have to be good at anything - except sleaze, of course. No long arguments or citations. Is that pretty much the picture?

Good strategy.

This is just a law (Or just a theorem or postulate) of math.
If you multiply anything by an even number you will get an even number. Therefore, if you square an even number (which is multiplying itself) you will always get an even number.
It is virtually impossible to win this debate as Con, unless you deny math.
If I'm mistaken, then please bring it to my attention.
