I accept the challenge.

I will rebut the argument that humanity can attain peace. I will prove that man can desire for peace, but never truthfully attain it.

What's your argument that proves that it is impossible?

Humanity may refer to:
The human species.
The total world population.
http://en.wikipedia.org...

When you say humanity, you actually say everybody in the world.
But the question is: Is peace possible?
I say no.
Why do I say this? It is because peace is never possible because there is always evil in the world. Even 'evil' in itself is relative since what we may see as evil may not be so to others. What we say as 'good' may not be good to other people of different nationality and culture. But let me point out that the term used is 'humanity'. It means that the total world population can attain peace. This is absolutely false. There may have some instances that peace may seem present. Such as during an Olympic game for example. But is that true all over the world? If it is true then we don't need laws since all is expected to do what is right. If you can give me an instance that there is peace all over the world at the same time, them i concede. but until then, peace is impossible for men. For when there is light, darkness is also there. The 'yin' and 'yang' of the Asian philosophy can prove this.

But I do not say that we stop dreaming or continue to attain peace. There are many great women and men who sought peace. their greatness will always be remembered since they fought to make possible the impossible. But the truth still remains. Until all humanity has greed and selfishness in their hearts, the peace that we all want to attain will forever be an impossible dream.

To dream of peace is a noble thing.
To hope for the unification of humanity is praiseworthy.

But to fully accomplish this is not just hard but impossible.
As long as no one manages to TOTALLY accomplish this feat, it will still remain what it is: impossible.
