Amendment - a change to the constitution of a nation or a state. [1]
Constitution - the supreme law of the United States. [2]
Congress - the bicameral legislature of the federal government of the United States of America, consisting of two houses, the Senate and the House of Representatives. [3]

Congress often passes laws that apply to everybody who works, except themselves. This should be changed.

I argue against your proposed topic because, on base, it makes absolutely no sense for two very simple reasons (that even you can probably understand).

1) Constitutional amendments cannot be written in the format of "forcing a branch of the government to follow its own laws". That is implied. The burden lies upon the ignorant, uninformed electorate that votes corruption into office.
2) You must stipulate what laws that Congressmen or Congresswomen do not follow, and how a Constitutional amendment fixes that. Otherwise, a Constitutional amendment is unnecessary.

"Even you?" That doesn't sound very polite...

"1) Constitutional amendments cannot be written in the format of 'forcing a branch of the government to follow its own laws'. That is implied. The burden lies upon the ignorant, uninformed electorate that votes corruption into office."
The problem is, most of them are corrupt, and people don't have that much control over them. For example, a man from Texas has no control in voting for the Californian senator.

"2) You must stipulate what laws that Congressmen or Congresswomen do not follow, and how a Constitutional amendment fixes that. Otherwise, a Constitutional amendment is unnecessary."

They raise their own salaries, using taxpayer's dollars. Nobody else can do that.

Their Social Security is different from everybody else's, because they get to decide, with no downside.

Congress is where the truly greedy people of America are.

Unfortunately, I can't respond to my opponent's arguments, as they are unexistant. My opponent may not create new contentions, as this is the final round. Vote PRO.

Because I hate semantical, rediculous, out-of-topic argumentation, and I respect you too much to disgrace this debate, I won't accept, mongoose. But if you are cool with me just letting loose, I'm in.

This debate isn't phrased very well. I could argue Con because the Congress already follows the laws that it imposes on itself, or I could argue Con because it would be silly to force the Congress to obey every law ever made (including laws that only apply to specific groups of people).

There already is a law that Congress (just like everyone else) must follow the law....

What's the point of an Amendment?

how would that stop them any more than a regular law? They're supposed to obey regular laws as well, but they keep on doing the same old song and dance.
