There are no bad people in the world because people only do what they believe to be right. Everyone has good intention. Even if their intentions are highly disagreeable.

Con

There is the feeling of guilty. When we do something we're not allowed to we feel guilty. Meaning we know what's good and what's bad.

But there is the fact that were still doing what's wrong because we think the outcome of our opinion will be better.

What's right or wrong comes down to opinion. I could say murdering is wrong, but someone could disagree. It's about respect for laws (a lot of people's opinion), and respect is a choice.

Is respect really a choice? People respect others because they agree with what they say. For example, i'll respect a person who stands up for themselves because i believe that is right, but i won't respect someone i think is entirely wrong. Also, say you voted for one party and another party won. You may respect the party that won because you may think that "if the general public thinks it to be right then it must be'", you are then changing your mind about what you thought about the party that won and accepting them.

So if following laws depends on respect (which i agree, it does), If the person does not respect the law and they do it anyway, they must think their reason is absolute. Even if someone did respect the law they might do it anyway because they think that doing it and dealing with the consequences is worth it. Or they could just be ignorant and not think about the law the entire time, while still thinking it's a good thing to do, and still maintaining their good intention.

Ok so let's say I don't respect the law. I try to hide it from the law enforcement, meaning while you don't respect the law itself you respect the power that enforces it. Meaning you know you did something bad. And when a gang member kills a rival gang member they know that they did something bad.

Well lets think outside of killing people. I know i've done some things that were wrong. Everyone has. But that does not make me a bad person. Everything i've ever done is because i thought it was right. So say i didn't do my homework when i was younger. I decided not to do it because i thought it was unimportant and i wanted to play. This action does not have bad intention and neither does any other decision made by any other person.
There is no bad intention. But there is other people's opinions on other's intentions and they can decide if they think one's intentions are a bad thing or a good thing, but that is still only opinion. Just because others disagree with one person, that does not make them bad because their intentions are good and they are also working to make this world a better place, even if it's in small amounts or high.
And even if a gang member killed a rival gang member. They did it because the rival was in the way or it would benefit them in some sort of way.
If you were to be in someone else's mind, you would see everything that makes them decide what they do and why. You would see their reasoning and understand why they have made this decision. If you disagree with their decision that is because they are lacking knowledge that you have and if they were to fully understand that knowledge then they would agree with you and they wouldn't do what they planned.
Theres no way on earth that someone will do something for absolutely no reason to support doing it.

Ok well what about internet trolling? The people who do it never have a reason besides "for the lols". A troll will cause annoyance for no gain what so ever, and sometimes even a loose something in the process. They can be considered bad people do to the fact they have no intent that involves personal gain. If you have no goal in mind then what happens to others in the process is meaningless, and so is your goal.

Well "the lols" amuse them and that's their benefit. They care very little for other people's happiness so they don't care about annoying people.
Madrouard

Con

Ok, I will agree that it is their intention for lols but what what about the joker or people like the joker? They just want to cause chaos or watch the world burn. I will say thought evil is based off intentions not the action.

But who's opinion is considered more important? Your own or society's?

I'd agree with you, Lorewalker, if you will cede that - by your logic - there are no good people either, just people doing what comes naturally.

It's a slightly facile argument, though, since "good" and "bad" in this context are social determinations, not personal ones. If the society in which you are embedded deems your behaviour socially unacceptable or damaging, you will be seen as a bad person, irrespective of your feelings on the matter. This, ultimately, will have a far greater impact on your situation than your personal opinion, as you will be treated accordingly.

There are some people who just love to do evil and harmful things consciously . They know it's evil and bad. But, they do it anyway . I guess they enjoy doing bad things .

Maeveguida15, What is your warrant? I agree that there are sociopaths out there and they can look mighty scary and they do things we don't like but they still believe what they are doing is correct. If you were to ask one of them if they think what they do is evil, would they say yes? If they would say yes then they would be disagreeing with what they do. They can't be evil just because they're evil and if you look at them you can tell they're evil.
Preston, do they really recognize that what they do is wrong? If they honestly believed that what they do is wrong then why would they do it? However, they can easily recognize that everyone around them thinks it's wrong. And how do we know if they feel remorse? If someone was angry and killed someone and felt terrible for it after and wanted to take it back and everything, are they still a bad person? They still have good intentions its just that now they would have intentions that don't make others unhappy.

Murderers feel remorse, they recognize its wrong and evil even though they do it intentionally.

Yes there are, people are born evil. The diagnoses of a sociopath is evil. Technically we're all at a paradox here because this is a matter of opinion. However, if you go on google, and you look at mugshots of serial killers who maim and dismember human beings, stare at them, look into their eye. Google "Sociopaths eyes" you will believe, people that do not believe in evil obviously know nothing about abnormal psychology, or haven't done any research on how evil one can truly be. Like I said, this impossible to debate because it centers around opinions, ones personal philosophy, or beliefs. My personal opinion which is based on fact is that evil exists, it's real and the most evil forms of lie dormant within normal people.
