There is absolute truth. Not everything is a matter of perspective.

In order for you to say or be anything, even to criticise you must exist. If you don't exist, you cant do any of these things.
Therefore existence is a fundamental truth. With that fundamental truth comes the ability to lie (existence is not an absolute truth, wich requires you to exist in order to say that).

There are not absolute truths.

"Absolute truth" is defined as inflexible reality: fixed, invariable, unalterable facts.

Because you exist, that does not mean that existance isn't a matter of perspective. The perception of my existances, does not prove that I know the absolute truth of my existance any more than a color blind person knows the absolute truth of the color red. This is the problem with all absolute truths, even if they existed it would be impossible to define them, and if we could never know them, they as far as we are concerned they don't exist.

The concept of existance changes between individuals. It is therefore not varied, and alterable and not fixed. We can say something is red to give us a word to work with for the color red but we can't get the absolute truth for the color red because it varies greatly from one perception to the next.

Does the stone in front of you exist ? No..But something in front of you must exist, (absolute truth).. Otherwise you could not interpret a stone.

No. No two people will interpret absolute truth the same way..A lie does not have to interpret any absolute truth.

If you have to interpret then it's not an absolute truth because no two people will interpret the same way so the object is varied. A lie is defined as "a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive". They have made shows where people try to be lie detectors and they are still only about 50/50. So I would disagree that catching a lie is easy, or easier to almost anything you compare it too.

Anyway. Catching a lie is so much easier...

You can only interpretate "absolute truth" because nothing else can exist.

But then if it's relative varies based on the viewer, and is no longer an absolute truth.

Nothing but absolute truth exist..But then we have to recreate it in our minds..And that is when "the absolute" becomes relative.

Jonbonbon it's a play on words. You use it to cover almost any negative. There is truth because to say there is no truth is a truth. But is it really? It doesn't allow for negatives. There can be no Absolute truths until I say they don't exist.. then somehow that's broken it because of the circular logic of the word? It's a word play. What if I said I didn't consider the statement "there are no absolute truths" and absolute truth? Also let's talk about the angle I'm coming from on this debate. If they did exist we can't know what they are so they're no way to have absolute truths for us there are absolute truths that is impossible to know, therefore as far as we are concerned there are no absolute truths.

absolute truth is dictated either by nature or mankind.
