Lassen Sie uns dies tun(Let's do this in German)

I'm going to start with some what minimum wage is:

Minimum wage is the lowest hourly wage an employer must pay an employee. This is done to prevent exploitation.

My arguments:

1. Minimum wage does not guarantees jobs, it only guarantees that those who will get jobs will be paid that amount. This leads to two bad outcomes.

1a. unemployment.

1b. higher prices(inflation).

Explaination: Ask yourself what happens if workers are paid more not because they have become more productive/skilled, but because government told employers that they have to? Employees will make less money. That's why they must use less labor to balance out the gap, and profit. This means they will fire workers, or let them work less hours. They may even raise their prices for their goods and services. This is undesirable.

2. Employers must discriminate against less experienced workers. That's because if they can only afford a few workers, they might as well be skilled. For example, imagine you need a job. This is your fist job so you are very inexperienced. You can only contribute enough work to make 7 dollars an hour. But you won't get that job because the minimum wage is 8 dollars an hour. But you won't just lose a job, you miss out on work experience. What if you don't have a job? You find illegal jobs. Okay that's a bit far fetched.

3. Workers must work harder. Imagine if you are paid 8 dollars an hour. Then minimum wage comes in. Boss fires a few people that he pays less than 8 dollars, than tells you that you'll have to work a bit harder if you want to keep your job. He does this because to compensate for his smaller work force, he needs a harder working one.

4. Workers that are paid minimum wage will work less hours. That's again, because the boss needs profit, and so he cuts down on spending's.

To summarize, minimum wage hurts an employer. In turn this will hurt his/her's workers.
