There should not be any music at mass because it distracts others from learning about God.

Really, I didn't know there are churches that sing wile a speaker is talking, if so, just ask for that to be changed. I don't see how it's distracting, because in the bible there are multiple verses in which it tells us that if we love God and are thankful we should sing. Examples of this are Psalm 100:1-2,Psalm 95:1-2,Colossians 3:16,Psalm 147:1,Psalm 150:1-6 ,James 5:13,Psalm 13:6,Psalm 105:2 ,Psalm 33:3 ,Psalm 59:16 ,Hebrews 2:12, etc. God has told us that we are exalting him when we sing of him and his works, and for many people singing hymns is when they most feel the presence/spirit of God/Holy Ghost. Most who would suggest this would have another reason, such as being self-conscious, embarrassed, or just lazy, but those who are trying to pay attention in mass would know these things, and if someone doesn't want to follow probably the easiest commandment of His, there's no reason for them to even go to Mass. Appropriate music invites the Spirit. We are to praise him with song.

Well, music is just a fill in so the priest does not have to talk so much. Because there is music, kids go home with the songs stuck in their head and their parents ask them, what did the priest talk about in mass today, the kid would say, "uhhhhhhh....... I forgot. The songs were so catchy!"Why can't you just sing to God? God also tells us that those who brag about their faith are not good followers, but those who keep their faith to themselves and worship God are great followers. I have heard this in mass many times. Why sing in mass? See who has the best voice? Yeah, no. We are simply supposed to worship God. Not compete for him.

Well, since the Catholic Church doesn't deny the age of the earth or the universe, nor evolution, chllns comments are barking up the wrong tree.

There shouldn't be brainwash sessions known as "Mass" Anyway. Don't get me wrong I'd fight to the death for your right to have such sessions. But the earth is 4.2 billion years old(we are certain) and the universe is 13.8 billion years old(we are certain), A very small structure of matter came into being in the early earth that had the ability to replicate itself(there are many known instances of self replication in non life forms, peptides or polypeptides in particular) "Any self-replicating mechanism which does not make a perfect copy will experience variation and will create diversity". This self replicating mechanism repeated itself trillions of times and as it did the variations that were better able to survive the environment and replicate survived and flourished continuing the evolution. 4 BILLLION(that 4,000 million or 4,000,000 thousands or 4,000,000,000 years passed) and that evolution has rendered what we see today. The peak output of our sun is 455nanometer wavelength of light. The receptor in our eyes we have the most of is the 455nanometer receptor, which makes sense because its what our star puts out the most, we evolved to meet this fact. It is an amazing truth, but to dis-acknowledge it and just say "god did it" is completely illogical and based on zero facts whatsoever, just word of mouth. In christianity monkeys don't go to heaven, but people do, did lucy go to heaven? how about the neanderthalls? when did we "Start" getting "let in" to heaven? It's ridiculous. Proper morals do not require religion, and its about time we stop the "inquisitions, the crusades, the jihads, the priest molestation, the wars, the hatred, the killings the slaughters, the beheading, the persecutions" over religion.
