I agree with this website with not allowing you to vote on a debate until you have completed 3 debates yourself. It would be reckless to allow any john doe to sign up and immediately start voting. There would be a lot of fake pages made by the people involved in the debates, in order to cheat and vote for themselves numerous amounts of time. It would also be stupid to allow someone who doesn't debate to be allowed to critic and judge others on how they debate without them first putting forth their experiences on this site.

Con

The parameters of this debate illustrate the ease by which one can bypass this rule. I suspect that is the intention of Pro. Therefore the 3 main benefits of this rule, as listed by Pro, are self-refuting for the following reasons:

1)Any john doe can sign up and almost immediately start voting. 3 debates like this, started simultaneously would be completed in 3 hours. I"ve seen debates that only allow 1 hour to post.
2)See above. Fake pages are easy to create thus allowing people to vote for themselves.
3)Obviously participating in a debate like this does not qualify someone to judge a real debate.

Perhaps readers can post comments with suggestions on how debate.org can close this loophole or at least make it more difficult to cheat.

Pointless mechanism. If I could vote, I'd vote Con.

Reasons for voting decision: I wholly agree with pro, yet in refutation; presentation; and overall strength of arguments con wins. I am however giving conduct to pro, for con's allegations of pro being a fake account (if it proves to be true, such will unlikely be within this debate).

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct equal though leaning Con because Pro made a silly one-round debate, probably as the start of a campaign for voting privileges which will become infamous. S/G equal on both sides with few glaring errors. Con, however, easily had better arguments by showing that the current parameters don't actually prove or guarantee anything. Sources equal, as neither side used them.

Reasons for voting decision: I find it funny that most people biased towards Con's position... Can't vote. Regardless, Con wins. 1 Round debates are stupid and pointless.
