3. Palestine: the state of Palestine.

Rules:
1. There is a divided onus on both sides to furnish evidence and arguments for their claims.
2. No semantics, trolling, or abuse.
3. A forfeiture is an automatic loss.
4. Both sides are allowed 10, 000 characters, with 72 hours/round, and an open voting with select winner option.
5. Only arguments and sources should be given main credit.
6. By the rules of this debate, any RFD must be a minimum of 1, 000 characters.
7. References to citations may be given in google docs, and the link posted within the debate.

Let the debate begin.

I ask Emil wait for a minimum of 24 hours before accepting. Danke.

Accepted.

Thanks very much to Ajabi for selecting me to debate this topic and good luck!

To clarify for readers, I will of course be taking the Con position and arguing that Israel is *not* a terrorist state.

Okay Ajabi.

As Pro has forfeited the rest of the debate, there's nothing for me to really argue here. But if anyone else would like to debate me on this particular topic...they may!

I'm not Lee ;)

But that's okay, I understand. Likewise I hope we get the chance to debate this again as it's a really interesting topic. Also good luck with your entrance exam...

In retrospect this was a bad idea. My taking out time with Teja for the God debate let me think I had enough time. In fact my Oxford enterance exam is on the 4th of November and I want to invest all of my energies into that. I'm sorry Lee, I guess we can reschedule. This win is yours.

Why can't I muster up any energy. Hai hai hai.

Okay, I will wait.

Though I can still accept the challenge now...then post my official acceptance tomorrow.

@Vox that is the single stupidest thing I have ever read. Let's debate that.

@Emil you're certainly my choice right now. Can we give it two days or so please?

Possibly so, but Pakistan isn't really any better. Israeli law grants full freedom of religion and a technically secular government whereas Pakistan's rather blatantly a theocracy. I mean, let's face it: if you're not allowed to blaspheme against Islam or convert from Islam to some other religion or irreligion without facing the death penalty in Pakistan, then such a country can't really say that it isn't in itself a terrorist state. Also, journalists critical of the government are occasionally murdered by the Pakistani Government. Let's not even get started on how the Pakistani Government has been rather blatantly aiding a unanimously terroristic organization (the Taliban) for the past 14 years.
