Greeting! :)
The motion before the House is that this House supports a Republic over a Democracy. The Spirit of the motion is whether there are indeed some inanlienable rights or whether the majority is an absolute authority. I will be arguing the former.

I think it is worthy to clarify the difference between a Republic and a State. A Republic is an autonomous state where there are elected leaders, however there are present some inalienable rights which no majority may take from their people. A Democracy gives the final power to the elected people to even remove any rights of people.

An example of a Republic is the United States of America.

I would say that a Democracy has higher "productivity".
