Agree why?
Disagree why?

Con

Disagree. For example, Canada became a separate nation from England through entirely peaceful methods. America, on the other hand, went to war to do so. Canada is now one of the most multicultural, peaceful, and economically stable countries in the world. America, is war-like, rampant with violence and discrimination (take a look at Ferguson these days), and economically ruined.

Social change may come a little faster with violence, but it will end far worse, and only achieve negative change.

Martin Luther King achieved change for the good of America. Guys like al Sharpton have muddied up what he did.liberal social engineering has always changed things for the worse.Communism has always ended with firing squads to get rid of the people who will not give up their freedom to be an individual.

It depends on what kind of social change you're trying to achieve. Both Hitler and Gandhi achieved social change.
