How can one appreciate the diversity of the races without first identifying and embracing racial differences? How can one properly respect a race without accepting each race's predisposed nature as a rule. Exceptions always come with the rule, but it would be keen of all people to recognize that it is the rule that sets the overlying atmosphere/environment and it is environment that we all adapt to.

My argument is that being 'racially aware' in this way leads to stereotyping. I believe it is much better to judge individuals as individuals, and not to throw them in together with a group. While some races may share common cultural traits over a majority of their group, the fact that there are exceptions makes it a bad idea to lump people together as members of that group.

Theqeustioner: To be Racially Aware would be to identify and embrace the traits that make each race different. The exceptions to the general rule/stereotypes are not relevant here. Stereotypes exist due to their representation of general traits. Acknowledging those traits is to be Racially Aware.

drhead: That's strange since I've set no criteria for opposition.
