To weaken is always to attack, whereas to strengthen is always an act of kindness and love.

ATHOS

Pro

Definitions:
Weaken: to (cause to) become less strong, powerful, or determined
Attack: An action that produces negative effects. An action or behavior that is in opposition to the goals of another.
Strengthen: To increase the ability of, to provide for, to make more effective
Kindness: having or showing a tender and considerate and helpful nature; used especially of persons and their behavior

Fairly straight forward resolution:

"To weaken is always to attack, whereas to strengthen is always an act of kindness and love."

I will be taking the pro side.
R1 is for acceptance.
R2 is for opening arguments.
R3 will be for rebuttals and closing statements
Good luck to my opponent.

Thanks, WilRiley for accepting.

"To weaken is always to attack, whereas to strengthen is always an act of kindness and love."

No one would weaken something that is necessary for their own well being. they would seek to strengthen it, to ensure their own survival. To weaken it would be to affirm their own destruction, and contradicts ones position in self preservation.

On the other hand, in the interest of self preservation, one would always strenghten that which is necessary for their own survival, and is consistent with ones position in self preservation.

Extend my argument, back to Con,

Con

My apologies for forfeiting. I concede my conduct points to Pro, however, I still believe I can win this argument.
The flaw in Pro's argument is rather obvious. Someone could weaken or strengthen unintentionally.
Example-
http://www.sbs.com.au...
This is an article that shows how Neo-Nazis accidentally raised funds for a left-wing charity. This strengthened that charity, but was obviously not out of kindness and love. Therefore, I have disproved your resolution, as no exceptions may be made to it.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct to PRO for the forfeit and for CON's attempt to make new arguments in the last round, which is never allowed. Therefore, only PRO made arguments I can actually evaluate, so I have to buy them.
