I am arguing against torture in any shape or form, curse all you want; it is juvenile and demeaning to yourself.First round is for acceptance, second round is a very short war.Good Luck.(You'll need it)

Pain for lives

Lets look at this from this prespective. What if in the early 2000s we captured an Al-Qaeda memebeer and we tortured him to learn that Al-Qaeda was planning an attack on the US. We could have saved thousands of innocent American lives right then and there. The twin towers would still be standing and the economical damage from 9/11 where we lost $3.3 trillion dollars would have been saved. http://www.nytimes.com...

There are different kinds of torture too..
With different levels of cruelty

As a young boy, I was attacked and stripped naked by my friends in the lockerroom after playing very badly at a football game. They took turns kicking me between the legs! Competing who could hurt me more.

Is that worse than:

Three Iraqi soldiers were masturbating, while a fourth was raping the young girl ..

I think they are both bad, both work and both should be allowed. Agreed?

Reasons for voting decision: PRO loses conduct for the forfeit. Con gets arguments because, hey, he actually made an argument.

Reasons for voting decision: FF. Worst trap debate ever! I ended up coming out believing Torture is in fact 'just right.' Sources unrelated to torture itself, thus not strong enough to influence source vote.
