I think that travel broadens the mind as you learn many new cultures, languages and sights from around the world.

Argument 1:

Travel will not necessarily broaden the mind, allow you to learn new languages, or learn about new cultures. Many tourist destinations around the globe are so frequently visited by us Americans, that the workers in Hotels, Restaurants, and other small businesses around the specified tourist area, accommodate to our needs. They learn our language, and try to make everything as familiar to us as possible.

What i am arguing is the fact that the PRO argument states everything as if it is BOUND to happen.

As if I am BOUND to learn a new language just by visiting a different country, etc., when this is most of the time not in any way true.

Well of course traveling is going to expand your knowledge. Unless you are asleep the entire time, or blind, but those are big what-ifs

why would anyone argue against this?

There can be debates where issues are close, but any argument against this is just gonna be stupid.
